Boca Raton Christian School Turns 50

Award-winning Boca Raton Christian School celebrated five decades of academic excellence through a Biblical worldview. In a beautiful display of community support, over 1200 supporters joined the Boca Raton Christian School, a Boca Raton Community Church ministry on Thursday, February 8th for their 50th Golden Celebration.

Pastor Matthew McDaniel welcomed guests and gave the opening prayer. Mayor Scott Singer issued the proclamation recognizing Boca Raton Christian School’s 50 years of growth. The audience enjoyed performances by Blaine deWeber (Senior), the high school and middle school band and choir, Kindergarten-5th graders, and a multi-media extravaganza of nostalgic pictures and videos. Mr. Len Visser, the Head of the School shared the vision for Boca Raton Christian School and everyone enjoyed light refreshments and photo opportunities after. It was a joyous occasion.

For 50 years, Boca Christian has been recognized by the Department of Education, ESPN, the Deaver Foundation, Florida State, NASA, Billy Graham, and Ivy League schools. Students served over two million service hours, received millions in scholarships, achieved national merits, won national robotics competitions, achieved state championships, and received college credit; excelling academically, starring as athletes, performing on stage, and creating works of art. Over 5000 courageous Boca Christian leaders now serve globally as professional sports celebrities, fine arts performers, missionaries, doctors, and dentists, in the armed forces, law enforcement, and business.

Boca Raton Christian School was founded in 1973 to offer the highest caliber of college preparatory Christian education and academic excellence. The school educates PreK3 – 12th grade with an emphasis on spiritual formation, academic achievement, and whole-child development.
