24th Annual Innovative Teacher Idea Expo

The Broward Education Foundation is holding its 24th Annual Innovative Teacher Idea Expo virtually on January 23 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Entirely online for the first time ever, the expo will showcase original curriculum projects that were developed by innovative Broward County Public Schools teachers to better engage and motivate students. More than 35 creative educators received Broward Education Foundation

Disseminator Grants enabling them to package their resourceful teaching strategies so they can be shared virtually with fellow educators. Attendees also can attend a variety of engaging and informative workshops and presentations and have an opportunity to win exciting raffle prizes. Each attendee will receive extensive course outlines, lesson plans, resource lists, student workshops and tools to adapt each innovative project to their classroom.

Keynote speaker is Rhoda Mae Kerr, fire rescue chief for the City of Fort Lauderdale who will share professional and inspirational lessons along with advice on how to thrive during challenges. Kerr is a fourth-generation firefighter who began her career in fire rescue in 1983.
