Community Prayer Breakfast

People from all walks of life, cultures and faiths will gather for the Urban League’s 10th Annual Community Prayer Breakfast on Saturday, December 5, at the First Church of the Open Bible in Lauderdale Lakes. Focusing on the theme of thanksgiving, the Urban League of Broward County invites community, business, educational, religious and political leaders, including state legislators, mayors and other public officials, to convene in the spirit of prayer, peace and unity as they close out their 40th Anniversary year.
Rev. Henry “Trae” Green, III, pastor of Payne Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church, West Palm Beach, will be the keynote speaker at the breakfast. And this year the event has been expanded to a weekend of prayer and praise with a free concert on Friday night featuring Jonathan Nelson, the chart-topping singer, songwriter, and worship leader who whose contemporary praise and worship music inspires and encourages people.

The free breakfast will be served at 8 a.m. followed by the program from 9 – 11 a.m. Attendees should RSVP for the event which will be held at First Church of the Open Bible, 4767 NW 24th Court, Lauderdale Lakes, by December 1 at www.ulbroward.org/prayer.
