Emmy Winning Fort Lauderdale Christmas Pageant is Back to Dazzle

The Emmy-Award winning Ft. Lauderdale Christmas Pageant, hosted by First Baptist Fort Lauderdale, will delight Floridians once again this November 27-December 13.

For over thirty years, First Baptist FTL has undertaken the mission of producing this spectacular Christmas celebration. More than just a Christmas play, the Christmas Pageant prides in bringing to life the greatest story of all through a Broadway-style stage production in a state-of-the art venue. The Fort Lauderdale Christmas Pageant delights in exhibiting a dynamic show full of original music, merry costumes and vibrant choreography.

In its opening acts, the pageant features traditional Christmas Carols with a new twist and modern technology to enhance these songs. The Pageant mixes a blend of traditional songs with contemporary selections to broaden the appeal to the mixed audience. You never know what you will hear, from pop to gospel, to rock and the blues, you might even hear a few melodies you recognize but with a few lyrics changed to help them better suit the holiday season.

What’s in store for this year

This year the Pageant will welcome two award-winning artists for special PreShow concerts on Opening Weekend: for KING & COUNTRY will appear on Friday night, November 27, and Francesca Battistelli the following evening on November 28.

In addition to seeing the show, guests have the opportunity to enjoy a world-class gourmet, buffet-style dinner before or after each show. The gourmet feast is prepared by celebrity chef Lenore Nolan-Ryan in First Baptist FTL’s Global Event Center. Families will have the tasty and convenient opportunity to dine in a Christmas wonderland after the first show or before the second show.

A cast of all ages

Another acclaimed highlight of the Pageant is its young actors! Hundreds of children (including infants) play a vital role in the choreography and music of the drama

Moreover, this spectacular production is but a glimpse of the beautiful cultural diversity of First Baptist Church. There are more than 70 countries represented in the body of the church, and they have made concerted efforts to make the pageant representative of that diversity. More so, the goal of this musical drama is to share with others the joy and true meaning of Christmas. The Fort Lauderdale Christmas Pageant purposes to depict the most important story ever told — the story of the birth of our Redeemer and His free gift of salvation.

Tickets may be purchased online at www.christmastickets.com or by calling 888.952.4806. All seats are reserved; tickets are required for everyone. Children under the age of four are not admitted. The pageant runs from November 27 until December 13, 2015.
