FCA at The University of Miami Raises Over $92,000

The Fellowship Of Christian Athletes (FCA) at The University of Miami, led by Mike Blanc Team Chaplain and FCA Area Director, and Gregg Wallick, President of Best Roofing, FCA Chairman of The Board and former Miami Hurricane Football player, had their inaugural “Board Of Directors intimate Summer Evening” with UM Head Football Coach Manny Diaz and his wife Stephanie on Tuesday, July 16th at the Schwartz Center on campus at The University Of Miami’s brand new indoor football practice facility.

The Intimate Summer Evening was an invitation only event for fifty-six Board and future Board, Athletic Sponsors and community activist business leader Believers that are dedicated in feeling that we must have a Christ connection with student-athletes on college campus at the “U”.

Coach Diaz gave an impassioned speech and highlighted the importance of having a spiritual Christ connection and full-time team chaplain available for his players 24/7 and stated, “I would no more consider going into a season without a Quarterback or Running Backs coach as I would a Chaplain team coach, and Mike Blanc is that coach; I find them equally essential in a winning program.” The evening dinner and facilities tour was successful in raising over $92,000 for the on-campus FCA chapter to help fund activities and student-athlete mission trips.
