Feeding South Florida Opens “Feed Your Creativity” Art Competition

is excited to invite students of all ages to participate in the second annual “Feed Your Creativity” Art Competition presented by Delta Airlines. Submissions have been extended to a May 10th deadline, students of all ages throughout the quad-county area will have the opportunity to create a winning masterpiece displaying their vision of summer hunger. Winners of the competition will be announced during a special Gallery Night on Tuesday, May 21st.

 

Students are invited to create artwork in different types of mediums that depicts summer hunger, highlighting the issue that impacts far too many of South Florida’s children. The end of school and the beginning of summer is one of Feeding South Florida’s busiest seasons. In South Florida, 555,302 children don’t have access to free or reduced-priced meals, which creates a difficult time for families throughout the long summer months.

 

The First Place and Winning Artist Receives the Following:

+Artwork is displayed as a truck wrap on a 36-foot tractor/trailer that travels throughout Palm Beach, Broward, Miami-Dade, and Monroe Counties.

+Artwork prominently displayed at Feeding South Florida’s main warehouse until August 31, 2019.

+Artwork is the featured image for the “Summer Hunger Ends Here” campaign, which includes digital and print newsletters, social media, toolkit, and direct mail pieces.

+Honored at the “Summer Hunger Ends Here” annual recognition breakfast for partner agencies and volunteers. (July 10, 2019)

+Announcement on Feeding South Florida’s social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
