On Thursday, February 8th, women across Broward County gathered for the 7th Annual 4KIDS Galentine’s Day Brunch, presented by JAG Aero Solutions. Hosted at the Broward Center of Performing Arts inside the stunning Mary N. Porter Riverview Ballroom, over 100 leading ladies enjoyed a beautiful meal together, participated in an exciting raffle, and most importantly, heard from a handful of dedicated women serving on the frontlines of foster care.
These speakers elaborated on specific programs within 4KIDS’ continuum of care, such as their prevention-based efforts with CarePortal, an online prevention platform that connects churches and community members to immediate needs of families who are struggling. Guests also learned about TIL 2:25, 4KIDS’ two-year transitional independent living residential program for young adults who have aged out of foster care or are nearing homelessness. Finally, one incredible foster mother shared inspiring stories from her personal experience loving on children who have experienced abuse or neglect, and encouraged all in attendance to take their best next step to advocating for kids in foster care.
With over $70,000 raised, Galentine’s was an elegant event full of love, community, and championing change for local children and families in crisis.
