The Town of Miami Lakes posted America’s congressionally-approved national motto “In God We Trust,” last month in the chamber where they conduct the people’s business. The plaque was presented to Miami Lakes Mayor Slaton by Jacquie Sullivan, founder and president of In God We Trust America, an organization designed to promote patriotism by encouraging elected officials to “Vote Yes” to display “In God We Trust” in their City and County Chambers.

According to Sullivan, there are nearly 350 cities and counties across America that have already voted “Yes” and are now courageously displaying the motto in their chambers. For more information on this grass roots effort, visit www.ingodwetrust-america.org.
