Fundraising to Help Abused Children in Need of Families

 MIAMI—Sept. 6, 2013—His House Children’s Home (HHCH), sponsored by Azamara Club Cruises, Celebrity Cruises, and Royal Caribbean International, will be hosting their 9th Annual Charity “Imagine” Gala Saturday, October 26, 2013 at 7 p.m. at The JW Marriott Marquis Miami.  Hosted by NBC 6’s investigative reporter, Myriam Masihy, over 500 guests will gather to make a difference in the lives of South Florida’s at-risk children in crisis.

 “We are greatly encouraged by the enthusiasm of faithful friends as we prepare to introduce new programs,” said His House Development Director Iris Marrero.  “It is the support of community partners that helps us sustain our services as we continue to improve the lives of the children we serve in South Florida and those of other countries.”

 Guests will have the opportunity to bid on luxurious items in the silent auction rooms, of which include cruises, unique autographed sports memorabilia, vacation getaways, Montica fine jewelry, high-end restaurants and hotels, fine art, beauty products and more.  For over twenty years, His House Children’s Home has provided a safe and loving home for abused, neglected and drug-exposed children of South Florida. Currently the organization provides an array of services, which include as residential care, full case-management, in-house counseling, an on-site academy, after-school tutoring and enrichment programs in addition to foster and adoption placement. His House is now in the process of opening a home for victims of human trafficking, The Garden, which will provide compassionate, therapeutic and trauma-sensitive support to female minors and offer them safety and restoration.
