His House Celebrating 25 Years

Old and new friends of His House gathered on April 26, 2014 to celebrate 25 years of restoring the hearts and lives of His Kids at our annual banquet, “The House that Love Built.” Held right in the backyard of that “house” where hundreds of neglected, abused and abandoned children have been welcomed to safe, loving homes by so many dedicated and caring staff and volunteers over the years, the event was a blessing to all who attended.

Nearly 500 guests attend
In a labor of love, our joyful volunteers began early on a beautiful Saturday morning to make sure every detail was perfect for each of our guests. And how exciting it was as our nearly 500 guests began to arrive!

Serving as master of ceremonies, South Florida radio personality, James Sheppard, from 90.9 LiFE FM brought joy and laughter to all. He introduced many of our special guests including Founder “Mama Jean” Caceres-Gonzalez, the Board of Directors and the leadership of the ministry. Our speaker, Dr. Bob Petterson, inspired and opened hearts with his testimony.

Kids Performed a special song for Mama Jean
Our guests were privileged to enjoy beautiful musical performances by Face 2 Face and Montreal who, through the art of worship, made us aware of God’s presence and goodness in our midst. Everyone was moved to watch the kids from our International program perform a special song for Mama Jean and by the beautiful dance inspired by the song, “Do Something”, performed by students from His House Academy.

Every guest and participant was challenged to take a leap of faith and say “yes” to becoming a life changer at His House Children’s Home as we provide loving care to the precious children God brings to us in the future.

The 25th Anniversary celebration continues
This banquet, with its beautiful memories, is one of the first events of our 25th Anniversary celebration. Thanks to everyone who has been a part of the past 25 years – and to those who helped to make this day so special. We invite you to continue to celebrate this meaningful year with us.
