Mission United Distributes 600 Thanksgiving Meals to Veterans

United Way of Broward County’s MISSION UNITED distributed 600 fresh Thanksgiving meals and 300 Thanksgiving food boxes to Broward County Veterans on November 22 at United Way of Broward County’s Colker Center in Fort Lauderdale. The distribution was provided to Broward County Veterans, Active-Duty Military, National Guard, Reservists, and their family members.

Meals were distributed to the Military personnel/veterans and their families via “drive-thru” style in United Way of Broward County’s parking lot and included items such as turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, and corn bread. Sponsors included the Miami Dolphins Foundation, which provided 600 meals from Veteran-owned business S&J Catering; The Elks Lodge of Oakland Park; 15th Street Fisheries, Provenance, AT&T Pioneers and JM Family Enterprises, Inc.
