On October 9th, over 100 leaders from across Broward and Palm Beach County came together to golf for a cause at the 14th Annual South Florida Orphans Classic and Auction, presented by Gunther Motor Company. Hosted at Coral Ridge Country Club, between all the teams, thirty charitable businesses and churches were represented, each of them sharing a passion to transform the lives of kids and families impacted by the foster care system. In addition to their time out on the green, golfers enjoyed the opportunity to select high-end golf gear and apparel at the TravisMathew Shopping Experience, take part in the putt-off competition, bid on raffle items and participate in a silent auction.

Most notably, golfers were also able to learn more the programs offered by 4KIDS, such as prevention-based efforts through CarePortal, foster care and trauma-informed therapy. They also celebrate the 9,300+ children and adults served by 4KIDS this past fiscal year, a 66% increase compared to the amount of lives served the year prior. In total, between the golf tournament and the silent auction, more than $210,000 was raised to further support 4KIDS’ programs and ensure that more children and families in our community can experience hope, homes and healing!
