Pam Tebow to Speak at 15th Alumnae Afternoon Tea Event that Benefits Scholarships at Palm Beach Atlantic University

Pam Tebow, mother of college football analyst and former University of Florida football star Tim Tebow, will be the guest speaker for the Palm Beach Atlantic University Alumni Association’s 15th annual Afternoon Tea and Silent Auction at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 9, at The Club at Admirals Cove in Jupiter. Tickets are $100 per person. The event benefits the Alumni Association Scholarship Fund. Current sponsors include Balatro Vintage, PNC Wealth Management, Sabadell Bank & Trust, Saxon, Office Depot Foundation, Josephine Bayard, Mittleman Eyecare Center, Deborah Jaffe, The Palm Beach Post and The Gardens Mall among others.

This year’s theme is “Tea-Bows,” and the afternoon will include a silent auction and door prizes with special prizes awarded to guests with the best bow attire. Musical entertainment will be provided during the auction hour by students in PBA’s School of Music and Fine Arts.

The tea menu includes an afternoon tea service, scones with clotted cream and preserves, assorted tea sandwiches, tea cookies, bonbons and petit fours.

Tebow will speak on “High Hopes for a Woman’s Heart.” As the daughter of an army colonel, she lived all over the world until she was 17, when she entered the University of Florida. She graduated with honors from the College of Journalism and Communications at UF. While in college, she met Bob Tebow, and they were married upon graduation in 1971. The Tebows have five children, two sons-in-law, four granddaughters and one grandson. All of the children and their spouses are active in various ministries.

Pam and Bob Tebow have been called “homeschool pioneers.” All five of their children were homeschooled from kindergarten through high school, and every one of them received college scholarships.

The Tebows lived for a number of years as missionaries in the Philippines, where Bob Tebow continues to have an ongoing ministry, the Bob Tebow Evangelistic Association. Bob and Pam Tebow also run an orphanage, Uncle Dick’s Home, in the Philippines, which has been home to scores of orphans since 1992. Pam Tebow is very involved in her husband’s ministry and coordinates numerous projects and personnel. She also is writing a book on parenting.

Natalie Alvarez and Gina Sabean are co-chairs of the event committee. Members include Jessica Clasby, Janie Thomas Fogt, Claudia Moore, Delesa Morris, Analisa Muti, Maria O’Carroll, Geanine Wester and Annah Wolf.
