Praisefest 2013: Worship at the Waterfront

Praisefest 2013Join thousands of fellow believers for a free day of faith, family, fellowship and fun on Saturday, October 12 for the inaugural PraiseFest 2013, presented by the Good News. PraiseFest is a free event taking place from 12:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the beautiful Meyer Ampitheater in downtown West Palm Beach, bringing together the body of Christ for one purpose…praise!

Obedient to the call
The Kingdom Title sponsor underwriting this year’s event is the Law Office of Theresa Bennett. Ms. Bennett describes why she felt moved to help make this vision a reality, “Well, first and foremost, when the Lord calls, we answer. I also realize that it is difficult to get first-time events launched. Most sponsors want to see a year or two of success before getting involved. So, my husband Ken and I simply were obedient to fund as much as we could, see where the Lord led, and pray that others – when they see how successful this first year will be – will get involved next year to make PraiseFest in South Florida what it rightfully should be….a beacon of light in an area of great need, bringing the elect and non-believers both together for the glory of God.”

Special guests
This year’s special musical guest artist will be Grammy and Stellar nominated national recording Artist, Dr. Lemmie Battles, direct from Chicago. Ms. Battles will sing some of her hits such as “Holy Ghost Power,” “Let’s Have a Good Time,” and many others.

Some of Florida’s own finest Christian music singers like national recording artists Kerrie Roberts, Josh Bramos and the Jessica Aaron Band will be leading worship while bringing encouraging and inspirational music. Churches from across South Florida will unite to sing together in the PraiseFest adult super choir lead by choral director, Janet Cunningham.

Praise in public
Why do you praise the Lord? Has God been good to you? Has he kept you through troubled times? Has he held you in his arms through sickness? Is he your everything? As all of God’s children are invited to gather in downtown West Palm Beach, from across South Florida and around the world, do you have a reason to praise the Lord? Let us gather together outside of church walls, into the streets of our city on the waterfront to worship and lift our voices to the Lord.

Music and more
PraiseFest West Palm Beach promises to enrich the lives of all who attend, providing a great opportunity to bring South Florida churches together in one place for one purpose…praise! In addition, there will be several leading Christian speakers including pastor Jason Baumgardner, author/pastor Jack Alan Levine, Trevor Banks, and Good Samaritan chaplain Kathy Kino bringing messages of hope from God’s Word. The P.M. Foundation has donated 400 Bibles to bless those searching for God, including 200 Fellowship of Christian Athlete’s athletic-focused devotional Bibles to be distributed in the Palm Beach Autographs SportsZone. Memorabilia will be on display and professional athletes will be sharing testimonies and taking pictures with attendees.

Compassion International will be sponsoring Nationwide Nascar driver Blake Koch, with his Compassion #24 race car on display, to sign autographs and get the word out about sponsoring children around the world. 4Kids of South Florida will on hand to bring excitement and fun to the Kidzone with bounce houses, face painting and interactive games.

Be there!
So bring your friends, family and neighbors, along with a blanket and chair, and join us on the lawn! A portion of the sponsorship proceeds from the event will benefit those in need within our community through Feeding South Florida.

Rain or shine…come and praise the Lord as we worship at the waterfront on Saturday, October 12, at the Meyer Ampitheater in downtown West Palm.

No coolers or backpacks will be permitted due to City of West Palm Beach guidelines. Chick Fil-A will be among many food and beverage vendors available for attendees to purchase refreshments and food while helping support PraiseFest’s charities.
