Pre-Application Open for New Habitat Homes in Pompano Beach

Open enrollment for Habitat Broward’s homeowner pre-application process for new homes in “A Rick Case Habitat Community” in Pompano Beach is underway online via www.habitatbroward.org.

Selected applicants will enjoy affordable homeownership of new single-family homes through interest-free mortgage loans.

Centrally located in Florida’s famous Gold Coast, the new Pompano Beach homes are minutes from three miles of beautiful beaches, a bustling arts and cultural scene, and great recreational and shopping amenities. “A Rick Case Habitat Community” also contains a beautiful new park with a reading and butterfly garden.

It is a four-step application process that includes a pre-qualification questionnaire, orientation, financial analysis review and face-to-face interview.

Qualifications include but are not limited to the following:

  • Must be a first-time homebuyer.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or legal permanent resident of the U.S.
  • Must be a current Broward County resident (for a year or more).
  • Must demonstrate a need for affordable housing.

“A Rick Case Habitat Community” will feature 77 affordable homes consisting of 42 one story and 35 two story units with sizes ranging from 1,200 to 1,300 sq. ft. homes. All homes feature sustainable, energy-efficient materials, including impact windows, to minimize environmental impact, improve indoor air quality, and reduce utility and maintenance costs. Additional features include a park, reading garden and children’s playground that is accessible to residents of the community and the surrounding area.
