Reception Held for Representative Moraitis

A reception was held at Galuppi’s in August in appreciation and celebration of State Representative George Moraitis and his service to Broward County and the State of Florida.

Representative Moraitis is an active leader in the community and is presently serving as State Representative for District 91 (East Broward and Southeast Palm Beach Counties). Having been elected to the Florida House of Representatives in 2010 and reelected subsequently, Moraitis is term limited and cannot run for State Representative again. However, highlights of his service include A+ ratings from Florida Family Action and Florida Chamber of Commerce. He was Tobacco Free Partnership of Broward County, Champion of the Year, 2016, and received the Florida League of Cities, Defender of Home Rule Award, 2015.

Representative George Moraitis graduated first in his class from the University of Florida College of Law in 2002 and practices in the areas of real estate, probate and estate planning. Upon graduating from the United States Naval Academy with distinction, he served seven years of active duty as a United States Navy submarine officer and is a Lieutenant Commander in the Reserve. While on active duty, he was awarded the Navy Commendation Medal, Navy Achievement Medal, Expeditionary Medal and Arctic Service Ribbon.
