Senior Olympic Games Held at Park Summit

imagejpeg_1Heart2Heart Senior Outreach of South Florida brought the generations together on June 22 for an afternoon of fun and games. As a longtime partner with Park Summit Senior Facility of Coral Springs and in collaboration with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Regional Director Mike Blanc, the Panthers of the Coral Springs Charter School volunteered at the first ever senior Olympic Games.

The Lifestyle 360 Recreation Department hosted the event that included bowling, ring toss, bean bag, walking races, Velcro darts and other games. Residents from the Court Of Palm Aire also took part in the friendly competition.

The smiles, hugs and laughter between the staff, residents and the Panthers was a special and memorable event. When asked what he thought of the games, one Panther youth player said, “This is great!” Many will remember this day and the love that was shared between the generations.
