Summer Fun for KidsWith summer vacation right around the corner, don’t be left scrambling to put a plan together for your kids. Below are a few great local summer activities worth checking out!

Camp Eleven – Harbour Church

Camp Eleven’s theme is the quest for hidden treasure. Camp Eleven will take the children on a journey to discover that their heart is the Lord’s treasure. The camp will use creative teachings, worship, small groups and afternoon activities to minister to the children. Each day is a different adventure that will set the tone and theme for the day. Our desire is for the children to encounter the Lord in a powerful way that will forever shape their lives. The Harbour Church believes that the Lord deeply values children and that it is important that to provide an opportunity for them to experience the power of his love. This is a unique, fun weekend that the children will love. Registration is only $50 until May 31.

Kingdom Rock – First Baptist Church of Pompano

Kingdom Rock is a five night, multi-generational vacation Bible school event that is completely free. This year’s VBS theme, “Kingdom Rock – Stand Strong for God,” is offered to children 3-years of age through completed 7th grade, with high school students encouraged to volunteer. A compatible adult bible study and parenting class will be led by Pastor Brody Howell for the adults. Kids will enjoy a beautiful storybook kingdom filled with knights, princesses, jesters and beloved animated characters. The theme will be a backdrop to the message that children can stand strong with God and trust Jesus. There is no fee to attend Kingdom Rock, and the event is open to the public.

Mega Sports Camp – Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale

Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale’s summer Mega Sports Camp is for students entering kindergarten through fifth grade. Kids will participate in football, basketball, soccer or cheerleading, as well as learn how to break free from lying, bad choices, selfishness, and fear with Jesus. Parents are welcomed to see what their children have learned in camp and enjoy food, prizes, and chat with professional athletes at the Tailgate Family Camp Day on Saturday, June 29. This VBS event is being offered at CCFL’s Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, and Plantation campuses. Cost is $15 per child.

Lost in Space – Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church

Join Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church for the ultimate space journey! Reserve your seats now for this summer’s one and only out of this world experience, “Lost in Space, Rescued by…?” The CRPC spaceship, the Enterprise Voyager, is on the launch pad, the crew is in the orbiter, and the countdown has begun. This VBS camp is open to children aged 4 to 12 (those entering Kindergarten up to those entering 6th grade). Your child will have a VIP seat on the most exciting missions in the history of space travel! Cost is $20 per child.

Camp KidStuf – Church by the Glades

Camp KidStuf is a summer evening camp experience for kids kindergarten through fifth grade.  With crafts, snacks, crazy games, videos, high-energy worship and dynamic Bible teaching, Camp KidStuf is sure to be one of the highlights of your child’s summer. This year, Camp Kid Stuf’s theme is “Turn It Up.”  Every kid loves a good story, whether it’s a book, a movie or video game. So get your kids excited about the most incredible true story of all – God’s loving pursuit of us through time. Turn It Up takes a journey through the Bible to give context for God’s Big Story. This summer, help kids discover how they can be a part of the story when they turn up the power of God’s love in their life. Registration is $25 before May 31 and $35 after, and includes t-shirt & camp materials.
