Youth Serve the Community during Unleashed Summer Camp

IMG_6122West Pines Community Church hosted its 3rd annual Unleashed Mission Camp from June 20-24. By pairing high school and middle school level students with over 25 different organizations and service projects, students had a unique opportunity to glorify God by serving the community and growing in their faith. The ministry partnered with organizations such as 4 KIDS of South Florida, The American Lung Association, ARC Broward, Broward Outreach, Family Central, Feeding South Florida, Habitat for Humanity, Heartbeat of Miami, His House, Hope South Florida, In Jacob’s Shoes, Jack & Jill, Kids in Distress, LifeNet 4 Families, The Pantry of Broward, Paralyzed Veterans of America, Rebuilding Together Broward, Ronald McDonald House, Salvation Army and United Cerebral Palsy. Students cleaned and mulched yards, helped sort food and clothing for families in need, washed windows, revamped tired buildings by giving them a fresh coat of paint, and scraped gum off of school desks. The dedication of the church leaders as well as the participation of the youth in this mission has had a profoundly positive impact on local organizations that were greatly in need of service and inspired hope within the community.
