“I Care” Gala Celebrates 100 Years Serving the Homeless

Miami Rescue Mission/Broward Outreach Centers, also known as The Caring Place, celebrated 100 years of serving the homeless and needy on October 15th during their “I CARE” Centennial Gala. More than 500 people attended the momentous event at The Signature Grand.

“It truly was a once in a hundred years’ celebration of God’s faithfulness and grace as the ministry has helped hundreds of thousands with meals, showers, shelter, education and housing,” said Marilyn Brummitt, vice president of The Caring Place. “Most of all the homeless and hurting have found that God really cares, and many have turned to their Lord and Savior for true redemption and healing.”

Attendees all received a copy of The Miracle Mission, a newly published book the tells the mission’s 100-year history along with a host of miracles they have witnessed over the year. A Virtual Book Launch will be held on Thursday, November 3rd at 6 p.m, featuring interviews with the authors and people whose sotries appear in the book.
