Roaring 1920’s Gumshoes & Dolls Soiree Benefits A Child Is Missing

A hot time in the old town was had at The Historic Maxwell Room in Fort Lauderdale at a Roaring 1920’s Gumshoes & Dolls Soiree on February 29. Jim Jensen, former Miami Dolphin, was chairperson of the gala.

“Through A Child Is Missing’s Child Safety Education Program over 91,000 children have been taught personal safety, anti-bullying techniques and internet safety.  Proceeds from the evening will benefit A Child is Missing’s Child Safety Education Program,” according to Chairman Jim Jensen. 

Robert Pappas, Principal of Gulfstream Academy of Hallandale Beach was honored as the 2020 Child Advocate of the Year. 

The Roaring 1920’s Gumshoes & Dolls Soiree also honored Sheriffs and Chiefs of Police from: Broward County Sheriff’s Office, Indian River County Sheriff’s Office, Manatee County Sheriff’s Office, Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, Clearwater Police, Coral Springs Police, Davie Police, Fort Lauderdale Police, Lighthouse Point Police, Miramar Police, Pembroke Pines Police, Plantation Police and Sunrise Police. Additionally, Ecolab Foundation, Edward & Gale McBride Foundation, Walmart and Lunchroom at Harbor Shops were honored for their support of the A Child is Missing’s Child Safety Education Programs.
