Where Is Your Marriage Headed?

Is your marriage what you hoped it would be? Are you on track with the goals you set for your marriage? Most will say “No,” to the first question, and “What?” to the second. When you marry, you have hopes and dreams for your lives together. Because you’ve found your soul mate, life will be good as long as your bride/groom is by your side. Reality check: hopes and dreams are NOT goals. Without goals, where will you end up? “If you aim at nothing, you will hit it every time.” – Author unknown   Marriage is the vehicle, not […]

Church in Cuba Finds Victory Through Challenge

As Cuba transitions to a new relationship with the United States, Americans have a renewed interest in learning how the church there has fared for the last 50 plus years. Not only has our government intentionally made strong efforts to normalize relations with Cuba, but God has sovereignly preserved his Church through more than fifty years of political oppression, an official atheistic and godless regime, and the spiritual darkness that has enveloped this beautiful island nation since 1959. CBN News recently visited Cuba to gather information on the spiritual condition of the Christian Church in Cuba today.   Comfort not […]

Although slavery was outlawed in the United States in 1865, it is estimated that there are approximately 21 – 30 million people in slavery in the world today, a number that may be higher than any time in history. Worldwide, about 78 percent of these are victims of labor slavery while 22 percent are victims of sex slavery. And of those in slavery, 26 percent are children under the age of 18, according to freetheslaves.net. Pastors on Peace

On the first Christmas, angels appeared to the shepherds and announced…. “Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!” (Luke 2:14) Yet today’s world seems far from peaceful. This Christmas, how is this message of peace relevant to a world that seems to be in chaos? We asked several local pastors to answer this question, and here are their replies.   Pastor Todd Mullins Christ Fellowship, Palm Beach Gardens You could read Luke 2:14 and think to yourself, “Peace?  If Jesus came to bring peace on earth I sure don’t see it. It seems like […]

Christmas Around the World

Did you ever wonder whether Christmas is mainly a Western tradition, or if it is celebrated in other countries that are not Christian as we think of it? Christmas is actually celebrated in many unique ways in every country around the world, some predominantly Christian in culture, and other nations where Christians are a tiny minority in a culture dominated by secularism or other religions. Here are a few examples.   France In France, a Nativity crib is often used to help decorate the house. During December some towns and cities, such as Marseilles, have fairs that sell Nativity figures. […]

“Risen” is an Epic Biblical Film

It does not happen every day that I am so excited to share about an upcoming film. Mainly because it is an inspiring story that is relevant for all. But also because we need to support […]

Fostering Gratitude

Gratitude has more to do with our reactions to our circumstances than the actual circumstances. Gratitude starts within the heart. How easy to have a pity party and say, “Why me?” Once, I was struggling with despair and a dear friend responded to my self-absorption with, “Why not you?” This truth made me stop and think. I learned (which wasn’t easy or quick) to look at my obstacles as opportunities to see how God wanted me to change, what He was trying to teach me, and how I could foster a grateful heart. Gratitude is a training field requiring time, […]
