On Wednesday, January 9th Arc Broward celebrated the graduation of 16 students from Arc Educates. The event, which took place in the Sunrise Civic Center’s Grand Ballroom, honored students from their Material Handler Program, Entry Level Culinary Arts Certificate Program, and Direct Support Professional Advancement through Training and Education in Human Services (DSPATHS) Program.   Arc students were all smiles as they walked across the stage to accept their diplomas.  The heartfelt night was filled with remembrance as previous graduates gave powerful speeches and delivered words of wisdom to the new scholars. HOPE South Florida hosted its Annual HOPE for the Holidays Gala on November 30 at the newly renovated Bahia Mar on A1A in Fort Lauderdale raising $170,000. Proceeds will benefit homeless families and veterans providing meals, housing, mobile showers, employment assistance and other critical services. Among the evening festivities, there were live and silent auctions, raffles, DJ, dancing and a champagne toast.
