Westminster Students Travel to 34th Annual Harvard Model Congress

Twenty-three students from Westminster Academy traveled to Boston, Massachusetts, for the 34th Annual Harvard Model Congress. Harvard Model Congress (HMC) is a program hosted by Harvard in which high school students from across the country have a chance to spend four days as members of the United States “government.” Students are assigned committees and deal with real political issues going on today. Westminster Academy Senior Breaks Boys National 3-Point Record

Chase Johnston added to the excitement of the Westminster Academy Winter Court game on February 1, by setting a new national high school boys’ record for all-time career 3-pointers made according to MaxPreps. A senior at Westminster Academy, Johnston broke the previous national record of 520 on his second shot during the game against John Carroll Catholic High School ending with a total of 523.
