Hope Women’s Centers reached their goal of raising $100.000 in gifts and pledges during the Walk for Life on October 18 at Westminster Academy West Athletic Field. “Walk Day was a testimony of answered prayers, starting with the beautiful weather all the way down to the counting of the money! We reached our goal and over 30 churches fielded walkers who helped raise the money,” said Nancy McDonald, president and CEO of Hope Women’s Center.
A great crowd enjoyed the festivities which included great music, food and activities. The kids enjoyed the giant bounce house, plus pony rides and a petting zoo. Everyone did their laps around the track then many joined in group games. People from all over Broward County joined together to support Hope Women’s Centers and giant photos of Hope clients and their babies lined the quarter-mile to remind everyone of the reason for the Walk: life. Thanks to all who worked hard to make this a great day for Hope Women’s Centers!
