Participants from 20 Churches Join Life Chain Prayer to End Abortion

Life Chain is a peaceful, prayerful event that was launched 33 years ago in Southern California. The first Sunday of every October, thousands of individuals line the highways and byways, creating hundreds of Life Chains across America. Broward Right to Life organizes the Life Chain in Broward County. This year, over 20 churches participated on Oct. 3, from 2-3 pm. An estimated 700 people lined University Drive from Miramar Parkway to Sample Road, each one holding signs like “Abortion Hurts Women,” “Jesus Heals and Forgives,” and “Adoption the Loving Option.”  Participants prayed for an end to abortion, interceding for all […]

Late-Term Abortion Facility Closed in Broward

This past March a team of pro-life sidewalk counselors got great news! The late-term abortion facility where, for seven years, they stood on the sidewalk and offered help to pregnant women was finally shutting its doors. The prayers and peaceful presence of these tireless warriors made a difference. The news was especially gratifying, considering the number of abortions that occur every year in Broward County. In 2019 alone, the lives of 9,864 unborn children were tragically lost to abortion. Broward Right to Life has had volunteers reaching out in front of this facility, the Fort Lauderdale Women’s Center on Oakland […]

Unplanned: Abby Johnson’s Change of Heart

Making a Difference for Life

Last September Denise sat in an abortion clinic on Oakland Park Boulevard. Financial pressure and embarrassment took her there.  “I was determined. I mean, I don’t believe in abortion. But I was facing a situation.” So she told herself, “Okay, I’m going to get this done.” Surrounded by the clinic’s bare walls on a Saturday morning, she filled out paperwork and grew anxious. “I saw my life flash before me.” She walked out to the parking lot and spotted four people talking with the friend who brought her. “And I’m like, ‘Are you kidding me? Right now?’”They told Denise they were […]
