Senior Volunteers Saluted with exhibit in Town Center Art Gallery

The spirit of giving and a zest for life are reflected in the eyes of a special group of seniors photographed by local artist Hank Henley. The Polo Club of Boca Raton demonstrated the power of true generosity recently by donating more than $126,700 to two local charities. In late May, Members and the Club’s COO made two check presentations – one for $63,773.95 to Delray Beach-based AVDA, Inc. (Aid to Victims of Domestic Abuse) and one for $63,926.45 to Lake Worth-based Forgotten Soldiers Outreach. Volunteers Pack More Than 100,000 Meals to Help Children in Haiti

Nearly 300 starving children in Haiti will receive food every day for a year from Food For The Poor, thanks to volunteers who packed 101,088 lifesaving meals during the charity’s first Join The Pack event on June 4 at Advent Lutheran Church in Boca Raton.
