Residents Celebrate Independence Day at New Facility

On the Fourth of July, residents of Symphony at the Waterways in Fort Lauderdale celebrated our country’s birthday with decorations, music, entertainment, delicious barbecue and a fishing contest. They also heard from Nikolas Kimaz, a candidate for U.S. Congress Florida District 22. Symphony at the Waterways is an Assisted Living and Memory Care facility centrally located on East Oakland Park Blvd. on the Inland Waterway in view of the Atlantic Ocean. After weeks of rain the sun was shining on Place of Hope’s Third Annual Fish for Hope KDW Tournament on June 9. The fundraising event welcomed 53 boats and 40 sponsors to Sailfish Marina. Competitors fished not only to win fantastic prizes but also to support individual children in Place of Hope’s care.
