Trinity International University Makes Strategic Moves

Trinity International University (TIU) has announced its second strategic move to improve facilities and expand its local programs in the South Florida area. Last August, classes in Miami-Dade moved from a church site to a facility in Kendall with administrative offices, current technology and the classroom space needed to serve their Miami students. On Saturday, July 16th, Kat and Sal Taylor said “I do.” While all weddings are special, this one felt different. It tugged at the heart a little more. Why? As Santa Claus enjoys his summer vacation and the warm South Florida weather, he visited hospitalized children at Palms West hospital in July. The visit was courtesy of the Believe in Santa Foundation. Bible Study Group Celebrates Christmas in July

Friends and family of the Calvary Chapel Plantation Women’s Bible study group, “The Thursday Night Chica’s,” gathered on Saturday, July 9th to pack more than 700 shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child. This bi-annual event has occurred for over 8 years. Yearly, the group commits to pack over 1,000 gift-filled boxes for children around the world.  July’s packing event surpassed other years by approximately 75 boxes, and in November they will gather again. Open seas, smiling faces and the chance to haul in the ‘big catch’ greeted the fishermen of Place of Hope’s first Fish for Hope KDW (Kingfish, Dolphin Wahoo) Tournament on June 25.
