Students Exploring Health Careers Visit Covenant Village

Covenant Village of Florida recently played host to a group of 25 high school students participating this summer in the AIM (Achieve in Medicine) High program at Nova Southeastern University. Those students are exploring careers in health professions. The visit to Covenant Village of Florida was an opportunity to spend time with residents and obtain a point of view regarding what life is like for older adults. Cross International Provides Rapid-Response Relief To Volcano Survivors

 Cross International in partnership with its sister relief agency Cross Catholic Outreach, provided immediate aid in response to the devastation caused by the sudden eruption of Guatemala’s Fuego Volcano. The volcano spewed a river of red-hot lava and pushed thick clouds of smoke nearly six miles into the air, and it continues to pose a risk to nearby villages. Boca Christian School Student Awarded Gates Scholarship

Boca Raton Christian School is proud to congratulate Senior Stephanie Casting, on being awarded the prestigious Gates Scholarship. Stephanie is one of only 300 high school seniors nationwide who will receive this scholarship established by Bill and Melinda Gates. Stephanie has been a Boca Christian student since 3rd grade. She has been active in leadership groups such as Student Council, National Honor Society and Chick-fil-A Leader Academy. Stephanie was twice selected for All State Band for trombone. Firewall Students Serve South Florida

Firewall Centers held its Fifth Annual Serve-A-Thon on Saturday, April 28th, where over 500 Firewall students, their mentors and volunteers engaged in seven service projects throughout Broward County and learned the value of giving back. Firewall Plantation, Western and Blanche Ely High students visited three elderly care centers through Heart2Heart Outreach of South Florida.
