New TV Talk Show Features Authors from Around the Country

WXEL, South Florida PBS in Boynton Beach, recently featured David Leite, author of Notes on a Banana on their show, “Between the Covers,” hosted by Ann Bocock. Each month the locally produced show features an author who is interviewed in front of a live studio audience. After the 30-minute taping is concluded, the audience is invited to ask the author questions, have them sign his book, and take photos. The 7th Annual Mike Campbell Charity Golf Tournament, presented by Wyndham Vacation Ownership, was hosted at Woodlands Country Club in Tamarac, on May 25. Walkers and Runners Stood Together Against Drunk Driving

More than 2,000 people of all ages and fitness levels bonded together in the ongoing fight against drunk driving during the 7th Annual Mothers Against Drunk Driving La Croix, South Florida Ford & Florida Panthers Foundation Walk Like MADD & MADD Dash Fort Lauderdale 5K. Drop-Off Locations Open for Operation Christmas Child November 14 – 21

Several local locations will serve as collection sites this year for the Samaritan’s Purse project Operation Christmas Child—the world’s largest Christmas project of its kind. Senior Volunteers Saluted with exhibit in Town Center Art Gallery

The spirit of giving and a zest for life are reflected in the eyes of a special group of seniors photographed by local artist Hank Henley.
