After a two-year hiatus, the highly anticipated 11th Annual Community Care Plan Non-Profit Awards presented by Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood returned bigger than ever. More than 600 local notables, community leaders and members of the non-profit sector joined together at Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood on Thursday, March 3rd to celebrate the inspiring work of Broward County’s non-profit agencies and to recognize the individual efforts of outstanding non-profit executive and board leaders. Palm Beach Atlantic University continued a rich heritage of generous, creative, persistent, energetic women when it celebrated philanthropists Ronnie F. Heyman and Lois Pope at the 30th anniversary of Women of Distinction on February 22nd. Palm Beach Atlantic University honors previous winners Previous Women of Distinction honorees Frances Fisher and Eileen Burns reprised their roles as co-chairs of the luncheon. National Christian Foundation South Florida Disperses $700,000 to Aid Ukrainian Refugees

As news broke of the crisis in Ukraine and Eastern Europe, the National Christian Foundation of South Florida (NCF) immediately activated their Disaster Relief and Crisis Fund to financially support our brothers and sisters in Ukraine and the surrounding countries. To date, the fund has dispersed more than $300,000 to well-vetted organizations who work with the local church in Ukraine and countries most affected, providing immediate hope, help and healing as well as long-term relief and recovery.
