Shakespeare and “Death with Dignity”

Recent events have brought the debate on so-called “death with dignity” and assisted suicide into the spotlight again. And yet, the argument is not really a new one. Three Local Schools Earn National Blue Ribbon Award

Only three schools in Broward and Palm Beach counties were recognized as 2014 National Blue Ribbon Schools based on the school’s overall academic excellence by the U.S. Department of Education on September 30. Women Prepare to Climb Mt. Kilimanjaro to Combat Human Trafficking

A team of women from South Florida, including two women from Boca Raton Community Church, will summit Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s tallest peak, to raise funds for women and children who are oppressed, enslaved, exploited and trafficked around the world. The funds will provide vital services through Operation Mobilization’s Freedom Climb projects that help break the cycles of poverty, shame, slavery and despair through prevention, rescue, rehabilitation and development. Representatives from 30 Churches Walk for Life in Broward

Hope Women’s Centers reached their goal of raising $100.000 in gifts and pledges during the Walk for Life on October 18 at Westminster Academy West Athletic Field. “Walk Day was a testimony of answered prayers, starting with the beautiful weather all the way down to the counting of the money! This year’s 5th Annual South Florida Orphans Golf Classic and Auction sponsored by Phoenix Package Logistics was a huge hit for 4KIDS of South Florida. More than 800 Brave Goliath Gauntlet

The First Goliath Gauntlet Obstacle Race drew more than 800 participants and 200 spectators on October 25 on the property of Sheridan House Family Ministries in Davie. A test of strength and endurance, the Goliath Gauntlet is a physically challenging, timed 3.5 mile race over and through difficult terrain, water and a series of 20 back-to-back obstacles.
