I Will Not Be Silent

As most of us know, the United States Constitution and the Declaration of Independence were founded upon biblical precepts drawn by our Founding Fathers, who were primarily Christian men. Today, many of these principles are being breached in lieu of a liberal, progressive worldview. “The moral principles and precepts contained in the scriptures ought to form the basis of all our civil constitutions and laws. All the miseries and evils which men suffer from vice, crime, ambition, injustice, oppression, slavery and war proceed from their despairing or neglecting the precepts contained in the Bible,” stated Noah Webster, author of the […]

It has not been a perfect nation – however, America has done a lot of good in this world. More importantly, it has played an important role in furthering God’s kingdom on earth. Waiting on the Lord

Wack!  In one swift moment, Moses, yes, the faithful Moses who was privy to the Lord Almighty’s voice and direct authority, struck the rock twice with his rod. In one intuitive move, the son of the first King of Israel snuck out to the Philistines’ garrison without Saul’s knowledge and approval.  Jonathan expressed to his armor bearer, “…It may be that the Lord will work for us.  For nothing restrains the Lord from saving by many or by few.”  Jonathan continued on by stating, “…Very well, let us cross over to these men, and we will show ourselves to them.  […]

Interview with: Judge Elijah Williams

In 1959, I was born in the Dixie Court housing projects in Fort Lauderdale. Simply put, children were much different than they are today. I grew up in an era in which children had a deeper respect for parents, police officers, school officials, and authority figures in general. Neither parents nor teachers spared the rod. As a result, the mere thought of armed police officers stationed at schools as

Defense of Marriage Act finally defends marriage

The U.S. Department of Justice on Oct. 12 finally appealed two rulings by a lower court that deemed unconstitutional a portion of the 1996 federal Defense of Marriage Act, as it applied to Massachusetts same-sex married couples. On July 8, federal District Court Judge Joseph Tauro of Massachusetts struck down in two separate opinions, Section 3 of Defense of Marriage Act – which requires that all federal benefits programs define marriage as the union of one man and one woman. The Department of Justice appeal – filed with the 1st U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals – comes one week after […]
