One of the few-remaining undeveloped oceanfront lots in Ft. Lauderdale has been sold for a record $12.6 million. The announcement was made by Realtor Debbie Wysocki of Florida Luxury Homes Group – Keller Williams Realty Professionals following the closing that took place March 4. Wysocki and her agency aren’t the only ones benefitting from the record-setting sale; Wysocki will donate 10 percent of her commission to local community organizations. About 100 enthusiasts participated in the First Annual Family Homeschool Olympics on March 16. They were attracted by the draw of intriguing family relays, husband/wife Relay races including leap frog and running relays, full family sack races and tug of wars. The board of directors of Wycliffe Bible Translators USA has announced the appointment of Dr. John Chesnut as the organization’s new president and chief executive officer. Twenty-three students from Westminster Academy traveled to Boston, Massachusetts, for the 34th Annual Harvard Model Congress. Chase Johnston added to the excitement of the Westminster Academy Winter Court game on February 1, by setting a new national high school boys’ record for all-time career 3-pointers made according to MaxPreps. A senior at Westminster Academy, Johnston broke the previous national record of 520 on his second shot during the game against John Carroll Catholic High School ending with a total of 523.
